Mustangs Pull Away with Dominant Second Half

The Mustangs notched their second conference win of the season with a 77-58 win over the visiting Owls from Warren Wilson.

Despite a strong first half showing on both ends of the floor the Mustangs would hold a slim 4 point lead going in at the break.  However the second half would see the defense tighten even further and the offense take it to the next level as Mustangs built their lead and dominated the second half en route to the blow out.

Leander Williams came off the bench for the Mustangs and led all scorers with 23 points including six three pointers.  Junior Kevin Fletcher stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds while sophomore Jabari Richardson filled the stat sheet himself going for 14 points, 5 assists and 7 rebounds.

Next up for the Mustangs is long time rival Apprentice School on February 5th at 5 pm.   For more on the Mustangs go to www.gomacumustangs.com.
