Mustangs Start 3-0 for First Time

The MACU Men's basketball team defeated Regent University to keep up their undefeated season. The Mustangs entered halftime with an 11-point lead, and were able to maintain that lead most of the second half. A shot by Freshman Tim Aydlett with 2.4 seconds left in the game gave the Mustangs the lead and helped them seal the victory.
On his team's performance, Coach Harris had this to say " It wasn't pretty, but we were able to grind out the win and I will take it. I'm proud of the way the guys fought together and were able to come out on top tonight. We have a lot to work on, but the team is finally starting to gel together. This is the first time our program has started 3-0 before, and I am looking forward to the rest of the season."
Senior Kevin Fletcher led the Mustangs in scoring yet again with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Freshman Antwon Sharp had his third consecutive game scoring in double digits with 11 points. Senior Malik Galloway was able to contribute 10 points on 5/7 shooting, and also hauled in 7 rebounds.
Regent's Andrew Aiken led the game in scoring with 22 points, shooting 6/7 from 3-pt range. Junior Stanley Adjei had the game's lone double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
The Mustangs move to 3-0 on the season and will face Hosanna Bible College on Saturday, November 21st.
