Mustangs Finish Strong at USCAA National Tournament

The Mid-Atlantic Christian University Men's Golf team sent a pair of golfers, Matt Cooper and Ryan Kelley to the USCAA National Tournament on October 9-10.  After a rain delay on day one of the tournament, Cooper would card a 76 and Kelley would finish the day with an 84 on the par 72 Penn State University Blue Course in State College, PA.  The second day of the tournament would see both men card a 5 over par 77,  with Cooper finishing his tournament at 153 and in a 5 way tie for 11th place and Kelley at 161, just a few strokes outside a top 25 finish.

Based on his efforts in the tournament Cooper was named a 2nd Team All American for the 2nd time in his collegiate career.  During the annual golf awards banquet following the tournament, Senior Matt Cooper and Junior Ryan Kelley were named to USCAA All Academic team.  Student-athletes are awarded this honor for maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher with 24 or more credits on their USCAA eligibility transcripts.
