The Mid-Atlantic Christian University Lady Mustangs basketball team has released it's scheduled for the 2018-19 season.
This season the Lady Mustangs will begin play in the newly formed Eastern Metro Athletic Conference with a home and away game against conference opponents Johnson and Wales (NC) the USCAA Division II defending National Champions, Warren Wilson, Apprentice School and Stratford University. After a quick trip to open the season at Stratford the team will head north for the third year in a row to take part in the Davis College Tip-off Tournament featuring the host school, Penn State York, and Christendom College.
MACU will open their home slate of games playing three of their next four games at home starting when they play host to Greensboro College on November 13 and including the conclusion of the third annual "Tis the Season" Christmas project on November 30 as they take on Trinity Washington.
A year after finishing with the USCAA Division II's 10th most difficult schedule, the Lady Mustangs will once again take on another tough schedule including a matchup with NCAA Division I Hampton University. The Lady Pirates are coming off an 18-14 season that saw them grab national headlines with their stunning win over UNC in Chapel Hill and narrowly missed a chance to play in the NCAA tournament after losing in the MEAC tournament championship game in overtime.
The Lady Mustangs start off 2019 with their yearly Northern Swing trip taking on fellow USCAA Division I opponent Washington Adventist, along with Penn State York and Central Penn College. A long home stand will have the ladies playing five straight games at home starting with Warren Wilson College and ending with Senior Night on January 26 as the Lady Mustangs celebrate the four year career of senior Talethia Alexander when they take on longtime rival Christendom College. MACU currently holds the slight edge in the all time series with Christendom with a record of 7-5.
