Local Standout is First Volleyball Signee
New Mustangs volleyball coach Kellie Kessler has announced her first signee to the program, Brealle White from First Flight High School in nearby Kill Devil Hills, NC.
Known as Bre, White played right side hitter, outside hitter, and setter for the Nighthawks, who advanced to the third round of the NCHSAA 2A playoffs before falling to eventual state champion South Granville in four sets.
White made honor roll and principal's list and will be graduating as a junior, having completed nine hours of college-level work as a dual-enrollee at College of the Albemarle.
She is also very involved at the Evangelical Methodist Church of Elizabeth City, where she is the worship leader for the youth group, a member of the adult worship team, and a leader for "Cherub Church." Bre says she also enjoys the youth group community activities because "it is a way to reach the community by helping peoples' needs and communicating the Gospel and love of Jesus to them through that help."
White is looking forward to the growth opportunities to be afforded her at MACU as well. "I admire and am encouraged by the spiritual vitality shown by MACU's teachings and people that attend here. Attending MACU will help me grow in my relationship with Jesus."
