MACU has landed another stellar athlete, one with a national basketball title on her resume, but she plans on playing volleyball as well.

Amy Bryan has signed to suit up for Coach Kellie Kessler's volleyball Mustangs this fall.  A 5' 8" senior at Great Bridge Christian Academy (Chesapeake, VA), Bryan led the Eagles in every major category including kills (85), kills/set (1.4), kill percentage (36.8), attack attempts (231) and hitting percentage (.190). This placed her on the all-conference squad her junior and senior years.

Bryan also plans on playing basketball for MACU. Her GBCA team won the 2016 National Association of Christian Athletes Division 5 National Tournament in Dayton, TN to conclude an undefeated season for Coach Jacque Cureton. Amy was again the senior leader, posting team best in scoring (15.2 ppg) and rebounding (6.3 rpg). She earned all-conference honors the past three seasons.

Amy works just as hard in the classroom as in the gym, sporting a 4.0 GPA and earning this year's valedictorian award.

A member of Great Bridge Free Will Baptist Church, Amy is an active participant in youth activities as well as working in the children's church ministry. She claims Philippians 4:13 as her favorite verse—" I can do all this through Him who gives me strength." "It's a simple but very important verse," says Amy, who plans on majoring in biology at MACU. "Christ is my strength, and I need Him to do anything."
