Young Mustangs Drop Two Games at Home

The new look Lady Mustangs Volleyball team, led by Head Coach Kellie Kessler, featured a starting line-up with four freshmen and came out strong early, however depth and injuries would cause the team to fall in consecutive matches.

Jumping out early on the Crusaders from Christendom College (1-2), the Mustangs dominated early in the first set and looked to be firmly in control of the game.  A strong second set by the Crusaders would turn the momentum and experience would win the day as they finished off the Mustangs in four.

After a short break, the Lady Mustangs returned to the court to take on John Wesley University from High Point, NC.  The Lions, coming in with a record of 2-2, would take control of the match early and went on to defeat the Mustangs in 3 straight sets.

The Lady Mustangs return to the court on September 7th to take on North Carolina Wesleyan at 7 pm in the first of three road matches, and return to action in Chesson Gym September 14th to play Pitt CC at 6 pm.
