Mustangs Land Setter Muse for 2017-18

Volleyball coach Kellie Kessler has filled a big hole in the Mustangs' lineup by signing Reilly Muse of Port Royal, Virginia to a Letter of Intent for 2017-18.

"We had been praying for a setter, and I believe God has provided one in Reilly," said Kessler, who is entering her second year as skipper of the volleyball program. Muse led The Carmel School of Ruther Glen, Virginia as varsity captain her senior year, guiding the Wildcats to a 15-2 record, best in school history.

Kessler believes Muse will have no trouble making the adjustment to college. "When Reilly was at the evals she fit right in with the returning team, and I could tell the transition into our MACU volleyball family would be an easy one. I am excited to get started practicing with her this August along with the rest of the team."

"I chose MACU because of its family-like environment, the Christian values, and the way they spread God's love throughout the community, said Muse, who is active in her church's missions program. "Matthew chapter 5 is important to me because it states how God created us to be light. I believe it is important to have a private relationship with our Father, but also to spread His love publicly and to truly be the light he created us to be."

Muse will major in Counseling and Psychology and minor in Cross Cultural Ministry.
