Volleyball Secures First Win of the Season

The MACU Volleyball team broke through for their first win of the season in decisive fashion as they swept Trinity Washington 3-0 in an away tri-match in Front Royal, Va.  For the second match in a row the Lady Mustangs started out strong however this time they were able to continue applying pressure to the Tigers enroute to the win.  

Junior Leah Maclin led a balanced attack for the Mustangs, with 8 kills and 7 aces followed by Freshmen Reilly Muse who finished with 5 aces and 15 assists.  For the game, the Lady Mustangs held an impressive advantage in service aces over the Tigers at 22-1.

When Maclin was asked what the win does for the team going forward, she stated "it definitely is encouraging...I'm glad the team got to experience our first one this weekend.  It's a big confidence booster, and hopefully we can learn from this experience and continue to grow together as a team."
