Women's Volleyball Secures First Win

The MACU Lady Mustangs Volleyball team secured their first win of the season by defeating fellow USCAA Division 1 opponent Washington Adventist University.

Despite playing on the road MACU was able to overcome the Shock's home court advantage taking all three sets the two teams faced off in, with no set being decided by more than 5 points. The Mustangs were led by Senior Leah Maclin with 8 digs and 6 kills and Junior Mallary Brogden with 10 kills and 6 digs.  Sophomore Reilly Muse registered 14 assists in the game.

After the game Coach Halsted stated that, "The team has made great progress this year and hard work is paying off.  It was exciting to see them play so well together.  It was a great feeling to get that first victory."

The Lady Mustangs return to the court September 25 when they travel to Roanoke, VA to take on Hollins University.  Live stats and Video for the game can be found at hollinssports.com.
