Box Score The early season woes continued Saturday for Mid-Atlantic Christian as the Mustangs fell to USCAA foe Johnson & Wales 85-55.
The Herd opened with a full court press but the Wildcats were able to adjust and open a 17-point lead in the first half. MACU (1-4) fought back to cut the lead to eight before trailing at the break, 36-25.
JWU (4-1) opened the second half with eight straight points and never looked back, leading by as many as 39 late in the game. The Mustangs' Marquice Sims led all scorers with 20 points and David Barron adding 10. Ricky Porter had 18 for the Wildcats.
MACU returns home to Chesson Gym to host North Carolina Wesleyan Tuesday at 6pm.
