Box Score The Mid-Atlantic Christian University Mustangs played host to the USCAA 14th ranked Apprentice Builders and dropped a heartbreaking loss by a final of 85-78.
Neither team was able to take control of the game early before back to back threes from sophomore Leander Williams helped the Mustangs surge ahead and take a 10 point lead into halftime. The second half would be a different story as the Builders used a relentless attack to get to the basket and force the Mustangs into foul trouble. For the game the Builders took over three times as many free throws as the Mustangs going to the line 41 times compared to just 13 for the Mustangs.
MACU was led by freshman Grayson Tejeda with 22 points, 11 rebs and 7 assists while Tyler Hendrix contributed 19 points. Senior Dixon Ogwo registered his 5th double double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
