ROCK HILL, SC -- On Saturday November 9th, the Men's basketball team traveled to Clinton College in South Carolina to face off against each other. Both teams pushed themselves to the max but ultimately, the Mustangs were defeated 72-95.
Junior
Janus Shepherd lit up the court and was responsible for a third of the points for the Mustangs. Shepherd managed 24 points and 4 rebounds throughout the entire game. Following behind Shepherd was junior Terrance Williams who scored 11 points and 5 rebounds and junior Keith Shakes Jr who managed 8 points and 11 rebounds.
Head Coach
Charles Sims commented on the game saying, "In this game, we simply got outplayed. Clinton had a well paced game plan which they executed well. Looking forward, we will learn from this experience and work on our own pacing and planning. There is no doubt that we will continue to improve and become more cohesive as a team."
The Mustangs play again on November 16th against Limestone University. Safe travels and good luck Mustangs!
