ELIZABETH CITY, NC -- February 11th was the last home game for the Mustangs where they faced off against Atlantis University. The Mustangs kept a strong lead throughout the entire game and pressed Atlantis for control of the ball. This worked out in their favor as they finished the game with a victory and a total score of 80-67.
The team was led by two sophomores
Noah Richardson-Keys and
Joshua Tyler who both finished the game with double-doubles. Richardson-Keys has 25 points and 14 rebounds and Tyler had 22 points and 12 rebounds. The Mustangs also honored their senior
Talik Totten who scored 14 points with 6 rebounds in his last home game in his career as a Mustang.
The Mustangs have finished their home games for the season with a bang. There seemed a point that they might lose their lead but they pulled together and accomplished a huge win as one cohesive unit. They will finish their season on the road starting on Tuesday February 13th. They will be facing off against Apprenctice School in Newport News. The game will start at 6:00 pm. Finish string Mustangs!
