ELIZABETH CITY, NC -- On Wednesday February 7th, the Mustangs faced off against Regent on the MACU campus. The Mustangs started with a strong lead and were leading by 14 points at halftime. The second half had the gym on the edge of their seats as the teams fought for first. The score between the two teams was tied twice and switched leads three times. The game was down to the wire with a tied game at 7 seconds left. The Royals finished the game with a layup that ended the game 80-82.

Talik Totten followed behind with 19 points and sophomore
Joshua Tyler scored 17 points.
The Mustangs fought very hard against Regent and showed their tenacity and will power. Despite being overthrown in the last seconds, the Mustangs should be proud of what they accomplished in that game.Â
