Mustangs Run Close with Columbia, 79-73
COLUMBIA, SC -- The MACU men's basketball team opened their season on the road with a tight game versus NAIA opponent Columbia College (SC), losing 79-73.

The Mustangs were led by Andre Bowles off the bench with 18 points (7-12FG) and seven rebounds.  Tyus Williams added in 12 points and four boards.  Elijah Dias tallied 11 points and five rebounds.  Latrell Thompson had 10 points and five boards.  Keondre Rodgers led the floor stats with three assists and three steals.

Coach Sims commented, 'This was a hard fought game against an NAIA opponent where we had four players get in double figures.  WE did not shoot well today.  This game was just the first of many for this season.  Now we must prepare and improve in the areas where we struggled today." 

Men's basketball will play next at home on Tuesday, October 28th vs Central International College.
