Box Score For the first time in the history of the series the Lady Mustangs found themselves ahead on the scoreboard 7-2, before the size and speed of the home team began to wear on the visitors. A long scoring run by the Pride would see the lead become a large halftime deficit.
Despite being held to just 1-13 (7.7%) shooting from beyond the arc, the Pride were able to force a season high 44 turnovers leading to 50 points.
The Lady Mustangs were led by Jamie Brown's 14 points with fellow freshmen Whitney Rowe leading the effort on the boards with 8 rebounds followed by Olivia Maxey's 7 rebounds.
"In a game like this its the small victories that we are looking at. A lead early in the game, and better defense that held them 31 points below what they scored the last time we faced them." said Coach Troxell. "These small victories show that we are heading in the right direction as we are working hard to become a better team heading into games within the USCAA."
The Lady Mustang's return to action at Chesson Gym on December 2nd at 7 pm as they finish up their 5 game swing of NCAA Division 3 opponents with a home game against William Peace.
