Turnovers and second chance points sealed the fate of the Lady Mustangs in the season opener against Bryant and Stratton College as they lost by a score of 68-33.  After cutting the lead to 4 late in the first half, the Mustangs were unable to get closer while the Bobcats took advantage of a long stretch where the Mustangs turned over the ball and went cold from the field to break open the game just before the half and stretching deep into the second half.

Gabby Swinson lead all scorers with 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead Bryant and Stratton. The Mustangs were lead by Jamie Brown's 12 points to go along with 6 steals, with Benita Boyd chipping in 11 points.
