Box Score The Lady Mustangs notched a big win over the University of Valley Forge to complete a 2-1 trip to the Johnson University Invitational in Kissimmee, Florida.
With the score tied at 50, junior Cham Brice hit a jumper, that would prove to be the game winner, as time was expiring on the shot clock to put the Mustangs up 2 with just under a minute to play. The Mustangs would then put the clamps on defense for the final minutes backed by 3 made free throws from senior Lacresha Young and another by fellow senior Benita Boyd to provide the final margin of victory.
The win marked the first time in the history of the women's basketball program that the Lady Mustangs were able to notch a victory over a NCAA Division 3 program.
Lacresha Young led all scorers with 17 points with freshmen Whitney Rowe recording her first career double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Mustangs are back on the court January 12 at 12 pm as they face off against Trinity Baptist College to finish up their 4 game swing through the state of Florida.
