Box Score A sluggish start to the game, including a 0-9 half from beyond the arc would see the Lady Mustangs down 15-14 at the end of the first quarter. A strong defensive effort in the second quarter enabled the Mustangs to move ahead and take a 3 point lead into half time.
The Mustangs surged ahead in the third quarter thanks to another strong defensive effort that would see Trinity University only score 7 points while the Mustangs took control with 21 points of their own. For the game the Mustangs were able to hold the Tigers to just 42 points, a season low by an opponent, in large part due to a season high of 21 steals for the team.
MACU registered four players in double figures for the game led by Eryka Vincent's stat stuffing game as she netted 16 points to go along with 9 rebounds, 8 steals and 5 assists. Aleah McNeal chipped in 16 points and 5 assists while Tierra Lester added 14 points and Montana Moore registered her 5th double double of the season coming in with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
For the first time in the brief history of the program, the Lady Mustangs entered into the game ranked in the USCAA Division II Coach's Poll Top 20. MACU is currently ranked #15.
