Box Score The Lady Mustangs and Lady Crusaders renewed their rivalry on the hardwood, with MACU leading from start to finish before taking down Christendom by a final score of 75-63. This was the tenth meeting between the two programs with the series now split at 5 wins a piece.
On offense the Mustangs made a habit of finding the open player throughout the day, tallying 20 assists on 32 made field goals. While on defense the Mustangs generated 20 steals leading to 26 Crusader turnovers.
Four players scored in double figures for the Lady Mustangs, led by sophomore Aleah McNeal with 21 points and freshmen Cierra Cook with 17, with the two guards going a combined 16-29 from the floor. Junior Eryka Vincent added 14 points and 6 assists while senior Tierra Lester had 10 points on 5-6 shooting.
"We did a great job throughout the game of setting up our teammates with our passing," commented Coach Troxell, "We consistently gave up a good shot for a better shot, and we used some solid defense at times to generate easy baskets on the other end. We have a long way to go to be the team we want to be, however, being 3-2 going into Thanksgiving is a great place for us and I am really proud of the team."
The Women's Basketball team returns to the court November 28th in Chesson Gym as they take on Piedmont International University at 5:00 pm.
