Box Score 2 Playing at home for the first time in a month the Mustangs swept a double header from rival Christendom by a final of 10-2 in game 1 and 11-7 in game 2.
In game 1 third baseman Austin Garcia led the way for the Mustangs going 2-3 with 3 RBIs and 2 stolen bases. Sophomore Dakota Jacobsen got the job done on the mound picking up his second win of the season after pitching the complete game while only giving up 1 earned run.
Game 2 would see Gabrial Rivera step up to lead the way for the Mustangs going 3-4 at the plate with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Israel Lopez picked up the win for the Mustangs in relief pitching 2 and 2/3 innings, striking out 5 Crusaders along the way.
Season Notes:
* The wins also snapped a tough string of losses for MACU as they faced tough competition from the likes of NCAA D2 Chowan and Grand Valley State among others.
*The Mustangs return to action April 2 at Thomas Nelson whom they currently hold a 3-1 lead in the season series.
