Box Score 2 The MACU Mustangs Baseball team returned to action at Thomas Nelson sweeping the double header by final scores of 8-7 in game 1, and 21-17 in game 2.
Heading into the top of the 7th inning of game 1 the Mustangs trailed the Gators by 5 runs. The Gators would give up walks by Liam Miller and Austin Garcia to start the inning before freshmen Jayln Lee would launch his 5th home run of the season to trim the lead to 2. Down to their final out of the game, Gabrial Rivera got on base with the third walk of the inning with Ryan Mitchell reaching base on an error that would score Rivera. A double by Ivan Dorbor would bring in Mitchell to tie the game followed by a single by Jafed Negron to bring in the winning the run for the Mustangs.
Game 2 would pick up where game 1 left off for both teams with the Mustangs and Gators combining for 38 runs. The Mustangs were led by Lee with his 6th home run of the season and 4 RBIs to give him a team leading 27 RBIs on the season. Will Warren, Rivera and Dorbor collected 4 hits each as a part of a 25 hit game for the Mustangs.

* 21 - The Mustangs established a new record for runs scored in a game with their offensive explosion in the game 2 win.
* 15 - Stolen bases for the day brings the teams total to 69 thus far in the 2021-22 season.
