ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. -- Following an 11-day break from competition, the Mid-Atlantic Christian University Mustangs volleyball team is set to travel to Pitt Community College and host a tri-match with Christendom College and Lenoir Community College this weekend.
The contest at Pitt Community College is slated for Friday at 6:00 p.m. and the tri-match is scheduled to be played Saturday inside of Chesson Gymnasium starting at noon.
The Mustangs (0-7) are looking to pick up their first win of the season but have seen a tremendous amount of improvement since facing off against Pitt Community College in the season opener.Â
Pitt CC has pushed their record to 6-3 on the young season but dropped a 3-1 contest to Lenoir Community College earlier in the week. The contest against MACU will be only the third match played at home for the Bulldogs with Pitt having split the previous two home contests.
Christendom comes into the tri-match sporting a 4-3 record and having won their last three matches. The Crusaders are 3-2 against USCAA competition and haven't dropped a set in their last eight attempts.
Lenoir Community College will arrive in Elizabeth City with a 3-7 record. The Lancers have dropped five of their last six contests.
You can follow all of the live action from Chesson Gym on Saturday by tuning into the USCAA Sports Network.
