ELIZABETH CITY, NC -- November 1, 2023 marks the official Bid Day for the USCAA Nationals for Women's Volleyball. The Lady Mustangs gathered together at 4 pm to watch the Bids to see if they would make it into the National Tournament. The MACU Volleyball team has not traveled to Nationals since their first time in 2019. Anticipation and dread filled the room as the first seeds were listed. As it dwindled down to the last seed, the girls were feeling nervous about making it at all. As the last team was read, the room went from nerves to excitement as the team's name was read off. The Lady Mustangs are going to Nationals!
Head Coach Jennifer Herman commented on the accomplishment by saying, "We are very excited to be going to Nationals and we are looking forward to the experience! The team is eager to play and the girls have been working really hard in practice to continue getting better."
The Mustangs will have their first game in the tournament on Thursday, November 9th. The ladies face off against the number 2 seed Bay Path University at 4:30. Good Luck Ladies and pray for safety in games and travels!
