RALEIGH, NC -- After their opening game of the season, the Women's Basketball Team traveled to Shaw University to compete against their team. After a hard game, the MACU ladies lost their second game of the season 32-106.
The game was tough but the women worked hard to show their skills. Senior
Kayla Kent led the team with 16 points and 6 defensive rebounds. Senior
Carrington Townes, along with Kayla, made every free throw shot they took, which greatly helped the team.
Athletic Director Andy Meneely commented on the game saying, "We just finished playing against two very strong and aggressive teams but despite that, the team worked hard and kept their positive attitude. I am very proud of them. We learned from these games and we will build on that and work very hard to continue improving."
The women play again on December 1st against Carolina University. Pray for safe travels and safety in the games. Good Luck Mustangs!
