The MACU Mustangs completed a series versus Bob Jones University, winning 1 of 3.  MACU came out of the gates strong by winning a 9 inning game on Thursday, but dropped the two 7 inning games on Friday.  The Mustangs batted .315 against BJU pitching.  The Mustang pitching staff recorded 18 strikeouts.
Sophomore Drew Copeland got the Win on Thursday throwing 5.1 innings allowing only 4 hits 

Senior Caleb Whitley pitched a complete game on Friday (3 R, 1 ER, 11K)

Freshman Anthony Torres went 6-10 with an inside-the-park HR

Senior Alex Miller went 5-7

Coach Louis commented, "It is early in the season and we have some things to iron out.  Luckily we have some time to work on things before Nationals.  We are going to keep the ultimate goal in mind.  We have a good core of returners and have some young guys really coming along.  It should be fun in May."
The Mustangs play a doubleheader against Southern Virginia at home on Tuesday, February 14th. First pitch is at 1pm.
