Over the weekend of the 25th of August, the Lady Mustang Volleyball team traveled to Pinehurst, NC, to compete in a series of matches. The team faced off against Sandhills Community College, USC Lancaster, and Johnson & Wales University. During these games, the Mustangs fought hard but ultimately were overpowered by the other teams.
The scores for Sandhills were as follows, 7-25, 18-25, and 18-25. The scores for USC Lancaster were 7-25, 8-25, and 5-25. FInally, the scores for Johnson & Wales were 17-25, 10-25, and 9-25.
The coach of the volleyball team, Jennifer Herman commented on the games. She said, "Even though we fell short, the team played great collectively and were completed on their hustle and determination. We have a lot to work on but overall, I am proud of how they came together as a team and played this weekend."
The next game for the Lady Mustangs will be Thursday, September 7th in the Chesson Gymnasium on the campus of Mid-Atlantic Christian University. Come out and support the ladies in their first home game of the season!
