GREENSBORO, NC -- On Sunday November 17, the Lady Mustangs traveled to Greensboro, NC in order to face off against Greensboro College. Unfortunately, the Lady Mustangs were overpowered by Greensboro and lost 27-86.
Returning for her third season and leading the Mustangs was Junior
Carly James. James managed 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals through the entirety of the game. Following in rebounds was freshman
Kaytee Reich who has 9 rebounds. Matching James in steals was freshman
Madelyn Delosreyes who had 3 steals herself.
Head Coach Andy Meneely commented on the game saying, "It is always tough to start a basketball season with alot of players coming out of a fall sport. This was a great immersion for this young team into college basketball and learning the intensity and energy it takes to play at this level. I saw some flashes of what we are capable of. They are positive and want to learn. I am excited to be around this team."
The Mustangs will play again on their home court on November 24th against the University of Mount Olive's JV team. Good Luck Ladies!
