Box Score ELIZABETH CITY, NC -- On September 4th, the Lady Mustangs played against Bryant & Stratton on their home court. The Mustangs started off strong and won the first set 25-20. After the first set, the Mustangs were not able to keep their groove and were defeated 14-25, 8-25, and 14-25.
The leaders of the match were freshmen
Faith Mooneyhan and
Tessa Dodson who led the team with 7 kills each.
Coach
Jennifer Herman commented saying, "I am proud of the improvement I see in the girls. We started out strong and the ladies showed their skills in the first set. Despite the loss, the girls have shown that they are capable of pulling off a win. We will focus on that and continue to work on becoming stronger as a team."
The Lady Mustangs play again on September 14th in a tri-match against Trinity Washington University and Christendom College. The tri-match will start at 11:00 a.m. and will be held in the Chesson Gymnasium. Good Luck Ladies!
