Golfers Compete Well at Nationals
State College, PA -- The MACU men's golf team competed at the USCAA Nationals hosted at the Penn State Blue Course. The Mustangs got off to a rough start on Day 1 but were paced by
Cutter Williams with a team leading 78. But the team would rally back on Day 2, the team would fire off the best round by a MACU team at Nationals with a team total 320. Day 2 was led by Williams with a 75 which would also tie for the 2nd best round by an individual. The 2-day total of 665 is the second best by at Mustangs team at Nationals. Williams would also tie the best 2-round score by a Mustang with a 153. Williams would also receive All-American honors.
Coach Lawson remarked, "We had a great day on Day 2. The boys played well. Everybody contributed something to the program. Cutter got All-American honors, Zach had a personal best 84, Titus finished strong with an 84, and Josh rounded it off with a solid 77."
