Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MBB Splits at D3 Classic
ROCKY MOUNT, NC -- The MACU men's basketball team split at the Taylor Classic hosted by North Carolina Wesleyan College this weekend.  The Mustangs lost to NCWC on Friday let by Janus Shepard's 32-point effort.  The men came back on Saturday and defeated Greensboro College behind Tyus Williams' 30 points.  Stewart Clough added 33 points and 20 rebounds on the weekend.

Coach Sims commented, "The games on Friday and Saturday saw two different MACU teams. On Friday, Janus had a breakout game but that wasn't enough to get us the win. We struggled at times staying committed to the game plan as it progressed into the 2nd half. On Saturday, it was a different game for us. We had four in double figures that propelled the team to victory.  Tyus scored five straight possessions that got us going and allowed us to overcome the deficit. The game then came down to converting on our free throws."

The Mustangs play next at NC Central on December 17.
