ELIZABETH CITY, NC -- On February 5th, the Lady Mustangs took on the Regent Royals for the second time. The first match they lost 33-73 and they were determined to make a bigger mark. The Lady Mustangs fought valiantly but were defeated 46-72. Despite the loss, the Mustangs are growing in their skills and ability to work together as a team.
Junior
Carly James led the Mustangs in scoring with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Following in her footsteps were freshmen
Tessa Dodson and
Madelyn Delosreyes who each had 9 points.
Coach Andy Meneely commented on the game saying, "The ladies are working hard in practice and on the court. They are coming together as a team and pulling off plays we are running in practice. Their determination and efforts are not going unnoticed and I am proud of their work."
The Mustangs are continuing their season this Saturday February 8th at Bob Jones University. The game will start at 3. Safe Travels and Good Luck Ladies!
