Volleyball falls in opener to VPCC, 3-0

Box Score HAMPTON, VA -- The Mustangs dropped their season opener in straight sets to VPCC.  The MACU team is young this year, with only three upperclassmen.

Braelyne Brewer led the team with 8 kills and also pulled up 12 digs.  Marylou Daniels led the team with 18 digs and four service aces.  Tessa Dodson added in seven kills and eight digs.  Maddy Delosreyes accrued 6 assists.

Coach Herman commented, "I'm beyond proud of the girls and all of their hard work over the past two weeks that we had to prepare for the season. It wasn't the outcome we wanted, but we are continuing to push hard to get better and grow as a team."
 
The Mustangs will play next in their home opener on Friday, August 29th, against Anne Arundel Community College.
