Eloy Fernandez is entering his first year as an assistant coach for the MACU baseball team. Originally from Miami-Dade County, FL, Coach Fernandez played 6A division high school baseball as a catcher and middle infielder before graduating in 2004. Coach Fernandez is the designated catching coach and is the developmental teams' assistant coach.Â
Coach Fernandez resides in Elizabeth City with his wife Kat and their four children: Kailey, Karlie, Elijah and Elliot. He is serving on active duty in the United States Coast Guard and is currently stationed at the USCG Aviation Technical Training Center as an avionics and aircraft electrical instructor.Â
