Michael Louis is entering his 3rd season as the Head Coach for the MACU Baseball team and his fourth year overall with the Mustangs following a year at the University of Findlay as a volunteer assistant.  

Coach Louis has led the Mustangs to back-to-back appearances in the USCAA National Tournament, has guided five USCAA All-Americans, and one USCAA Academic All-American. The guidance of Coach Louis has made an impact not just on the field but also in the classroom, as the Mustangs set a program record for highest team GPA recorded in 2022, and in the community with over 350 hours of community service registered by the team in 2022. 

Louis has also been responsible for spearheading the relationship with Elizabeth City Parks and Recreation to make improvements to Holmes Field at Knobbs Creek, including visual improvements to the facility as well as to the outfield fence. Louis also has improved the fundraising arm of the program, raising over $40,000 for the improvement of the program in his two years.

Coach Louis began his collegiate playing career as a two year starter at Owens Community College(OH) before transferring to the University of Findlay (OH) where he would continue as a starter. While at Findlay Coach Louis was given GLIAC 1st Team All-Defensive Honors as an outfielder.

Following his playing career, Coach Louis received a Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Mathematics Education from the University of Findlay. He has been teaching math since 2015 and is currently serving as the Associate Athletic Director for Student Success at Mid-Atlantic Christian University.

Coach Louis resides in Elizabeth City with his wife Brooke and has two children, Owen and Hazel.
