Jim Givargis

MACU Athletics welcomes Jim Givargis as the new head coach for the men's soccer program. Coach Givargis has over 40 years of club soccer experience and seven years of high school coaching. Over his career, Coach Givargis has achieved the USSF Level A coaching license.

Givargis has worked with soccer clubs including the VISTA Soccer Club and the VSA Club. He has also organized soccer camps and personal training for over 37 years. In 1983, Coach Givargis started the nation's first co-ed adult soccer league. He also has professional experience on the pitch, having played for the Pittsburgh Spirit indoor team and he coached the Winchester Impact indoor semi-pro team to a league championship.

Coach Givargis commented, "I am excited about this opportunity. I have worked with college students in individual training for a long time and it is exciting to make the move and coach at a Christian college."

Coach Givargis is semi-retired and resides in Hertford.
