DURHAM, NC -- On Friday November 17th, the Women's Basketball Team traveled to Durham, NC to play against North Carolina Central University. This game started the season for the women and it was a tough first opponent. The MACU team tried finding their groove together but were overpowered by NC Central 132-22.
Although the game was tough, the ladies worked their hardest. Senior

Carrington Townes followed behind by making 6 of her foul shots.Â
Andy Meneely, MACU's Athletic Director, helped coach the girls for this game. He commented on their performance saying, "This was a tough opponent to start out a season. We have some things to work on and hopefully we can work on them over the next couple of weeks. We just have to stay focused on improving piece by piece."
The team plays again tomorrow, November 18th, against Shaw University. Good Luck Ladies!
