ELIZABETH CITY, NC --
Andy Meneely will be taking over the women's basketball program for the 24-25 season. He also is serving as the athletics director, a position he has held since 2017.
Meneely has seven years of experience in college basketball, including stints at the Junior College, NCCAA, NCAA-3, NAIA levels. He got his coaching start under head women's basketball coach Tena Krause while an undergraduate at Taylor University in the late '90s. He also spent a year coaching high school basketball at Eastern Hancock (IN) where the team won only the second sectional title in the history of the girls' basketball program and made it to the Elite 8 of the state tournament.
"I want to provide an environment of growth. I will be working hard to stabilize the program. I hope that these young ladies have an opportunity to become students of the game and find servant-leadership opportunities with the community."
Meneely earned a bachelor's in mass communications at Taylor in 2000. He is married to Emily and they live in Elizabeth City with their dog, Callen.
